Tell me more...The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of quality, cost effective, patient/ client/ resident centred nursing care in consultation with other members of the health care team and in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National competency standards for the registered nurse.

They provide best practice nursing care in the assessment and treatment of patients/clients/residents to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life. They are a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing educational support to others, planning and evaluating nursing care and providing clinical supervision and nursing leadership as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of nursing skills to provide best practice patient centred care.
• Understanding of the National Safety and Quality Standards for patient quality and safety.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Emergency Department or Theatre is highly desirable.
• A Triage certificate, knowledge and experience is highly desirable.

Requirements for the role:

• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration/endorsement with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (APHRA) as a registered nurse and current practising certificate is mandatory
