As an RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality healthcare services to residents while ensuring their well-being and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with best practices, clinical guidelines, and individual care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate records.
- Monitor and assess residents' health conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident care plans.
Communication:
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain clear and concise medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards and regulations.
Emergency Response:
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response protocols.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse Division 1
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Minimum 2 years experience in aged care or a related healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
