AddressExcellent opportunities exist for experienced Registered Midwives to work across a range of areas including Birth Suites, Postnatal, Antenatal, and Special Care Nursery at a private hospital in Mackay. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Midwife, your key responsibilities and duties include:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care;
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care;
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision;
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time;
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and midwife;
- At least 1 year of experience full-time equivalent clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse/Midwife;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally;
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills;
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Commitment to ensuring the levels of service are delivered to patients at all times.

REMUNERATION
$40.27 - $51.74 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Mackay, is a modern facility with 105 beds, five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a range of specialist clinical services, including a 27-bed maternity unit providing specialized care for antenatal, postnatal, neonatal, gynecological, pediatric, surgical, and medical cases.
