Position Scope
As a Medical Rescue clinician, you are part of a multidisciplinary team working together to deliver professional medical care primarily in the out of hospital environment for our client, based in the Surat Basin.
Joining our team, you will provide medical services to workers on large-scale projects taking place across multiple locations including:
- Curtis Island (QLD)
- Surat Basin (QLD)
Our team will deliver Emergency medical response, primary healthcare, and occupational health services onsite but will also form part of the wider Health team supporting onsite health assessments and education and mental health initiatives. Your role will be to ensure that our patients receive the right level of care, have a positive experience engaging with our service, and are encouraged to seek ongoing health advice. You are part of a wider health team and will contribute to the “one team” healthcare approach working alongside Occupational Health, Health and Safety staff (HSE), Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and occupational hygienists and remotely supported by Medical Rescue operations staff and doctors.
Positions available:
- Casual RNs
- Full-time RN: 14 days on, 14 days off.
- Part-time RN: 2 weeks on; two weeks off, Monday to Friday. For this role you would need to reside in Chinchilla. Additionally, if you did not reside in Chinchilla, you would need to be okay with being stationed at Chinchilla for your weekends while on-swing.
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing primary healthcare services to onsite workers, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Treating various conditions for, but not limited to, sprains, strains, contusions, minor burns, abrasions, avulsions, lacerations, and fractures and embedded foreign body eye injuries and; Arrange off-site health provider appointments for non-urgent cases.
- Facilitate the referral for workers requiring the company's employee assistance program Documenting medication requirements
- Reviewing workers with injuries, illnesses, or changes to their health, liaising with stakeholders, completing Return to Work (RTW) documentation, and providing RTW assurance for contractors
- Coordinating acute and chronic disease management and wellness initiatives. Facilitating telemedicine consultations and assisting with prescriptions.
- Conducting periodic Fitness to Work (FTW) health assessments, including reviewing FTW forms, taking clinical history, performing physical examinations, and managing necessary paperwork.
- Organising referrals for FTW issues, managing FTW records, and ensuring alignment with organisational procedures.
The successful candidates must possess or be willing to obtain:
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Full drivers’ licence
- Ability to travel to Brisbane in order to adhere to clients travel arrangements.
- Drug and alcohol testing certification.
- National police check
- Advanced Life Support (ALS 1 or 2)
- Safer together Medical
- 3 years of RN experience.
