About the role
Our Short Stay Unit is a fast paced predominantly surgical unit. We cater for a range of surgical elective and emergency patients. Patients are from various specialities including but not limited to Orthopaedics, Plastics, ENT and General Surgery. The highly skilled Registered Nurses within the Short Stay Unit work cohesively along with various clinical services to provide positive outcomes for patients and their families in a safe and caring environment.
Position Overview
- Fixed term, part time (64 hours per fortnight) until April 2024
- Warrnambool Campus
- Registered Nurse Grade 2
Salary Range: $71,333 - $95,378 pro rata, plus superannuation
The successful applicant will:
- Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a minimum of 12 months relevant experience, preferably with a surgical background.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality and you will provide best practice, patient centred care in a safe and caring environment.
- Display excellent time management and communication skills
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development will be highly regarded.
