Essential Requirements:
- AHPRA Registration
- FRACP Part 1 or FRANZCR Part 2, or equivalent training in recognised training program
- Completion of at least one core year of Nuclear Medicine training, as accredited by JCTC or the equivalent, is preferred
Desirable Requirements
- Completion of at two core years of Nuclear Medicine training, as accredited by JCTC or the equivalent, will allow flexibility for more in-depth participation of the department’s strong PET and therapy programmes

1. Perform and Interpret Diagnostic Procedures
- Understand protocols as applicable to Oncology.
- Modify techniques appropriately.
- Produce clinical reports according to Department targets of accuracy and timeliness
- Liaise with clinicians to promote multi-disciplinary principles of practice and high standards of patient centred care.
2. Perform Therapeutic Administrations
- Evaluate patients suitability for treatment
- Provide adequate clinical and safety information for the patient and carers
- Monitor the patients subsequent progress when appropriate
3. Radiation Safety and Quality Assurance
- Understand Department QA activities and their relevance to staff and patient safety
- Perform all activities with adequate radiation safety standards
- Advise patients and carers regarding safety precautions
- Advise referrers regarding the safety of procedures in both standard and unusual scenarios
4. Clinical Meetings
- Prepare and interpret Nuclear Medicine and PET images for presentation at clinical meetings
- Provide advice regarding available alternative imaging options
- Provide advice regarding possible radionuclide therapy options
