The position is suitable for BPT trainees, GP Registrars and those accepted onto an Advanced Training programme in Geriatric Medicine (or as a non-core term for Advanced Trainees in Rehabilitation or Emergency Medicine).

$131,000 - $183,500 per annum

Period of Employment
Fixed term, full time day work (part time hours may be considered), 76 hours per fortnight, plus an additional 10 hours protected training time (pro rata), commencing as soon as possible until 3 February 2025 (24 months negotiable)

Duties
The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the hospital and provides afterhours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Essential Requirements
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty
2. Identification check
3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
