As a key member of our Fund Services team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of everything we do in accordance with APRA regulations.
As the Regulatory Reporting Client OperationsVice President in the Fund Services team, you will oversee the offshore team and be the liaison point for the regulatory and our clients on their Regulatory Reporting deliverables and queries. You will take ownership of the issues and will manage the with the assistance of the relevant internal teams ensuring that service delivery standards are continuously in alignment with the terms of the service level agreement between J.P. Morgan and the client.
You will exhibit an ability to work with, and manage through, other functional areas both locally and globally, to ensure the provision of a timely and efficient level of service. You will also be able to demonstrate people leadership capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert and operational point of escalation for APRA and other Regulatory Reporting. This includes understanding the exact data requirements.
- Oversee the Regulatory Reporting deliverables from the offshore teams including second review and monitoring timeliness & quality of their deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact to clients for Regulatory Reporting including delivery handoffs and query management.
- Monitor workflow across the organization that ensures the data used for Regulatory Reporting is timely and accurate.
- Manage platform transitions and new business onboarding for Regulatory Reporting ensuring effective coordination between offshore and onshore teams.
- Conduct analysis of query trends, root cause analysis and deep dives to improve client experience and remove operational roadblocks.
- Drive process improvement within the function and any strategic projects.
- Manage a small team including all aspects of people management.
- Minimum 8 years relevant industry experience in the financial services sector.
- Previous experience with APRA reporting.
- Relevant knowledge and experience will be considered in conjunction with related business degree, or industry recognized training (CPA, CA, ACCA, SIA, AFSA).
- Able to work under pressure, prioritise appropriately, meet deadlines and juggle simultaneous demands.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting for funds including trial balance concepts.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of various financial instruments and their classifications.
- Effective attention to detail, particularly as it pertains to data.
