  • Onsite parking, cafeteria & gym

As our Regulatory Specialist you will delve into economic and market regulation matters and compliance through meticulous analysis, facilitation and coordination. You will also facilitate Powerlink’s input and positions on external regulatory reviews and National Electricity Rule changes to achieve appropriate regulatory outcomes. Your expertise will be pivotal in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and contributing to the renewable energy transition for Queensland.

In this role you will:

  • Monitor, research and analyse economic and market regulation issues, including external regulatory consultations
  • Prepare advice on regulatory matters and compliance and assist in developing Powerlink’s input to consultation processes
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide support (including analysis) to Powerlink’s prescribed revenue determination process where required

Your expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Economics or Law
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, analysing, and coordinating revenue, economic, and/or market (technical) regulations
  • Strong problem solving abilities in navigating business challenges with potential regulatory impacts
  • Experience working within relevant legislative frameworks(e.g. Electricity Act, National Electricity Rules, and Workplace Health and Safety Acts) is advantageous
