Form of workWe are seeking a dynamic Senior Rehabilitation Consultant to come join the team in Cairns, QLD.
Our Client:Our client specialise in workplace health, injury management and safety. They are committed to delivering top-tier services in personal injury and occupational health. Their dedicated team prioritise recovery and functionality, aiming to reintegrate clients into work and life, regardless of their age, stage, or circumstances. Their personal injury division offers services through federal and state-based Workers Compensations, Motor Accident Schemes, and Life Insurance programs.
About the Role:
As a Rehabilitation Consultant you will assess, plan, organise, and participate in rehabilitative programs to achieve positive return to work outcomes and build sound relationships with customers. Other duties include;
- Manage a caseload of injured clients
- Develop workplace based rehabilitation programs to achieve positive return to work outcomes
- Conduct Initial and Worksite Assessments
- Provide Rehabilitation counselling
- Complete and maintain necessary records.
- Evaluate clients' progress and prepare reports that detail progress.
- Test and evaluate clients' physical and mental abilities and analyse medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals.
- Recommend changes in patients' work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities.
- Liaise and work in consultation with referring agency staff, injured workers, employers, medical practitioners and allied health professionals.
- $85K - $100K + super +travel
- Travel allowance and bonus
- Non-clinical opportunity to use your clinical and rehab knowledge
About You:
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Rehabilitation Counselling) and registration (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA)
- 2 years of experience in Occ Rehab
- Outstanding communication and networking skills
- Ability to self motivate and self manage workload
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Report writing skills
- Sound clinical reasoning
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
