We have an opportunity for an experienced Rehab Advisor with a solid knowledge of Workers Compensation to join a well-known organisation in NSW Government.
This role is paying up to $60.00 + super per hour and candidates in Hunter and Newcastle region will also be considered to attend local offices.
You will also be required to travel and have a full NSW driving license for this position.
The role will focus on the development and implementation of high risk management frameworks across their Workers Compensation and injury division to ensure that all outcomes are met within their frameworks to provide a positive service for workplace rehabilitation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Support key stakeholders in the organisation to ensure that injured working return to their pre injury role where appropriate.
- Reviewing, monitoring and working with their recovery plan including liaising with health professionals .e.g. doctors, and rehabilitation officers.
- Manage, consult and advise on all levels with regards to injured workers return to work and keep all relevant stakeholders up-to-date with process.
- Manage administration adhering to the process and ensure that all legislative requirements are met.
- Provide education and support to managers where needed to ensure that they are adhering to governing frameworks.
- Liaise with iCare NSW to manage the claims of the workers.
- Expertise when handling complex psychological Workers Compensation claims.
- SIRA accreditation and Return to Work Coordinator Cert.
- Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation Acts including 1987, Workplace Injury Management (1998) and WHS Regulations and other legislations.
- Experience in planning, high level advice and implementation of rehab plans in high-risk management frameworks.
- Strong verbal and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and drive positive outcomes.
