About the Role

A Sydney based opportunity for an experienced Relationship Executive has become available with BOQ Specialist!

The purpose of this position is to grow a portfolio, managing existing customer portfolio by retaining, growing and attracting profitable new customer relationships through the delivery of outstanding customer service.

As a Relationship Executive, your responsibilities will include:

  • Work collaboratively with existing and new clients to promote and sell our commercial product offering including meeting clients at their home and/or place of work to conduct interviews to determine financial situation and objectives, discussing options for the client and developing tailored solutions.
  • In conjunction with clients accountants, proactively work with clients to understand financial objectives and help implement plans to realise these objectives.
  • Monitor ongoing needs of existing client base and work with Internal Consultant's to review and where necessary and update the client's banking solutions.
  • Take ownership of each new deal from application stage through to settlement, including workflow management through the credit approval, documentation and settlement processes.
  • Work closely with IC's to determine loan serviceability, complete risk grading, review the credit submissions and at times prepare credit submissions and manage the deal through the credit approval process (ensuring policy requirements & approval conditions are met).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (credit, operations, CSC, PSOPS and etc.) as well as clients, accountants, solicitors and relevant third parties to ensure efficient settlement of each deal.
  • Answer inbound enquiries and providing exceptional customer service to external/internal clients including regularly updating the client on file progress.
  • Assist with multiple product distribution by assisting the External Consultants to identify cross sell opportunities within existing client base.
  • Manage own Client Engagement Platform (CEP).
  • Attend trade shows, and other marketing events/initiatives when required, showcasing BOQ Specialist and its product offering to support our clients such as industry conferences, EDM’s and outbound call campaigns.
  • Working closely with industry suppliers and associations, to help support their clients and members.
  • Ongoing client maintenance and assist POD with client retention.
  • Assist with training and mentoring the Internal Consultants in achieving the partnership/POD’s joint objectives.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of our client niche and market issues.
  • Demonstrate an understanding our commercial product offering.

As the successful candidate for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Banking and Sales experience.

  • Understanding of credit, risk, security and lending.
  • Good understanding of Lending products.
