About the Team:
As part of the Global Member Experience business unit, your aim is to serve and engage local members, provide value to our existing members, increase membership, and enhance the organisation's reputation and brand by implementing the organisation's strategy at a local level.
The team have responsibility for ensuring the voice of the member is represented in all CPA Australia's activities. We work closely with all other parts of the organisation and has responsibility for member services, event strategy and delivery, member insights and innovation, the Australian and New Zealand Divisional offices and strategic member communications.
About the Role:
As the Relationship Manager for the ACT, you will drive new member growth and foster meaningful stakeholder relationships. This pivotal position is dedicated to identifying leads and opportunities to expand our membership, engage with accounting professionals and employers, and enhance the overall value we offer to employers.
Through establishing and nurturing relationships with key employer and tertiary stakeholders and influencers in the broader accounting, finance, and business industry, you will play a vital role in ensuring our organization's continued growth, relevance, and sustainability. With a focus on understanding market trends, tailoring our approach to identified sectors, and driving new member and revenue growth, you will contribute to our goal of empowering those who employ our members with the resources and connections they need to thrive in a continually evolving economy.
Your Key Duties include:
- Drive and engage in activities and initiatives that attract new members to the organisation
- Be accountable for revenue generation by driving sales of new memberships and purchase of progression development products and services
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with other organisations, businesses, or institutions in the accounting, finance and higher education space
- Remain informed of market trends, competitor activities and industry developments through engaging in market research and analysis
- Track and report on plans, activities and progress towards Key performance indicators related to membership growth, review and other relevant metrics
About You:
This position would be suitable for candidates who possess:
- Experience driving and developing business growth through effective sales strategies including cultivating leads, closing deals, achieving sales targets, and expanding customer base
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and networking skills
- Experience with strategic planning in a business development context is essential
- A self-starter with well developed leadership and problem solving skills
- Exposure to a membership organisation will be highly regarded
- A formal qualification is Business would be highly advantageous
