About the Role
The primary purpose of a Release Coordinator is to ensure the smooth and efficient release of software or products within an organisation. You’ll plan, schedule, and oversee the entire release process, coordinate activities among different teams, manage risks, maintain quality, and continuously improve the release process.
Areas of responsibility include:
- You will be responsible for planning and scheduling the release of software or products. This involves working closely with various teams, such as development, quality assurance, and operations, to establish release timelines and milestones.
- Serve as a central point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the release process. This includes release managers, project managers, product managers, and SMEs.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the release is a key responsibility.
- You’ll ensure that all necessary tasks are completed on time and in the correct sequence. This may involve coordinating testing efforts, and code deployments.
- After a release, you will often conduct post-release evaluations to assess the success of the release, gather feedback from stakeholders, and identify areas for improvement in future releases
Skills and Experience
- We are looking for someone with experience in Release Management and Project Management. You will bring valuable experience in effectively overseeing project lifecycles and ensuring smooth releases.
- Your deep knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) will be a critical asset to our team.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Confluence, and ServiceNow would be beneficial
- An ITIL V4 Certification would be ideal to demonstrate your commitment to best practices in IT service management.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications and/or necessary experience aligned to section/branch operational requirements will be highly regarded.

Eligibility
• Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
• Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.
