Your New Team & Role
This role, reporting to our Maintenance Manager forms part of our high performing Manufacturing team. You will play a key role in providing engineering and technical expertise to the maintenance and production department in order to improve safety, quality, environmental performance, reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing operation. Your day to day involves analysing plant designs and installations, driving preventive maintenance, improving reliability, troubleshooting, diagnosing faults and recommending solutions to minimize risk, cost and wastage associated with production downtime. You will also lead and manage key engineering projects in line with project plan deliverables, deadlines and budgets.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate engineering design upgrades, modifications, certifications, and maintenance programs using CMMS for plant equipment as per standards.
- Develop and implement appropriate equipment maintenance strategies to ensure reliability of plant is continuously improved and lead root cause analysis for equipment failure/ breakdowns.
- Proactively analyse production and maintenance information to identify weaknesses in equipment and/or maintenance strategies to eliminate significant or repetitive breakdowns
- Develop and implement a positive culture of safe operating procedures and practices
- Lead and execute allocated projects
- Lead initiatives in reducing downtime and drive continuous improvement solutions
- Utilise CMMS to maintain records and plan maintenance activities
- A relevant engineering degree in Reliability/ Electrical or similar is essential
- Proven relevant skills and experience in the maintenance or reliability field associated within a manufacturing operation.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and expertise in relation to modern maintenance and reliability strategies and processes.
- Highly developed technical problem-solving skills including the ability to co-ordinate investigations into plant and equipment failures.
- Demonstrated experience in meeting deadlines within project delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
