Remida Team Member

It is a time of growth and change for ReMida as we explore what it means to be a Creative Reuse Center in 2024 and beyond. We are looking for an energetic, dedicated and active individual who can balance a diverse range of tasks while remaining calm and flexible when plans change.

Your morning may be spent helping volunteers prep and sort materials, before launching into admin tasks, representing ReMida in a range of forums, delivering workshops, and supporting the development of our social media platforms. Or, something unexpected may arise and your day needs to be reshuffled accordingly.

 The ideal candidate for the role:

• Will navigate chaos by differentiating between opportunity and distraction.
• Understands the need to work flexibly and graciously within a small team.
• Knows when to stick to the plan and when the plan needs to change.
• Enjoys being physically and mentally active throughout their day.
• Has excellent administration and communication skills.
• Can implement a set of complex instructions, over a series of tasks, by knowing when to persevere and when to seek guidance.

The role has the potential to grow from part-time to full-time over the next twelve months for the person who excels in each of these areas.

Core requirements:

• The availability to work 9am - 5pm on Wednesdays.
• A current, unrestricted WA driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• A current Police and Working with Children Check, note the Police Clearance must be dated within the last 6 weeks.
• Excellent computer literacy, including familiarity with content creation for social media
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Also handy:

• A creative streak.
• Experience in workshop facilitation.
• Experience with ADOBE Creative Cloud Apps.
• An awareness of art and education trends within WA.
• The ability to learn while doing.

The base hours for the role are 22.5 per week, spread across Tues, Wed, and Thurs, with the full day (9-5) falling on Wednesday.
