These services include Primary Health Care, Aged Care & Community Services and Family & Community Wellness.
Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Child Health for our Healthy Under 5’s Program. To be a successful Healthy Under 5’s Nurse, you will be able to promote and provide a comprehensive and culturally appropriate program for the children of this community while working under Aboriginal Community-Control collaboratively with other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within the Healthy Under 5’s Program (HU5K) in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality health promotion, prevention, screening and treatment.
- Identify and prioritise Child Health needs by working collaboratively with families and the broader community.
- Provide culturally safe, competent and comprehensive care
- Develop and maintain a strong referral pathway
- Work with the broader team including external agencies
Essential Selection Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Min 5-years broad nursing experience & 3-years working in a primary health care related field in a remote context.
- Child Health experience preferably in remote Aboriginal community settings.
- Remote Area Nurse experience with the ability to participate in the on-call roster.
- Qualifications and experience directly related to Child Health
