AddressWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Remote Sensing & Geospatial Research Scientist to build upon our R&D Remote Sensing Program. The ideal candidate will be an expert in 3D point cloud processing, vegetation classification, geospatial sampling design, and model validation. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of representing the company in technical working groups and collaborating closely with a team of Remote Sensing analysts and our GIS Developer to streamline processes, automations, and integrations.
This position offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge research and development in GIS and Remote Sensing, work with a dynamic team, and significantly contribute to the field.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Development and implementation of advanced Remote Sensing and GIS methodologies
- Expertise in processing and analysing 3D point clouds, vegetation classification, and geospatial sampling design
- Validate models and methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Represent the company in public forums, technical working groups, and conferences
- Work collaboratively with Remote Sensing analysts and GIS Developer to innovate and improve data processing and analysis workflows
- Drive the integration of new technologies and methodologies into existing systems
What we’re looking for:
- Advanced degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Extensive experience in 3D point cloud processing, vegetation classification, geospatial sampling, and model validation
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and influence
- Demonstrated experience in streamlining GIS and Remote Sensing processes and automations
