This is an exciting time to join NRW Holdings Ptd Ltd as we are now seeking applications from an experienced and highly skilled Remote Site Engineer to join our Information Technology team at our Belmont head office. This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Infrastructure and Platforms Manager. The role will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure at head office and remote locations.
As a Remote Site Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Liaise with Project Management to define IT requirements for sites
- Planning and executing the deployment of new IT infrastructure, such as servers, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless and other IT infrastructure related devices
- Clean and QA returned hardware
- Patching (Fibre and Ethernet)
- Document creation, management and maintenance
- Hardware dispatch and deliveries
- Stock/Inventory management and ordering
- Network hardware and Windows server configuration
- Monitoring network traffic, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise, and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences
- Carrier service provisioning (Telstra/Optus/Starlink)
- Travelling to Remote Sites for deployment, troubleshooting and decommissioning
- After-hours support
To be considered for this position, you will require:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical IT role
- Industry-related experience as a Network or Remote Site Administrator/Engineer would be preferred
- Networking experience
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to articulate technical requirements
- Ability to work independently and be part of a team
- Ability to rapidly adapt to changing technologies and environments
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Driver’s license and the ability to travel to and from Belmont
