The Position
The Unaccredited Renal Registrar position at Bendigo Health will be responsible for Clinical management of patients and supervision of Interns and Hospital Medical Officers and adequate documentation of clinical matters, working co-operatively with the Renal Advanced Trainee to ensure optimum patient care. The Registrar will liaise with key staff in other Departments and Clinical Divisions in providing medical consultation, particularly Emergency Department ensuring high standards of care and efficient use of available resources.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to consolidate clinical and technical skills across the spectrum of patient presentations and conditions, together with didactic learning and research in renal medicine. Duties will also include supervision and training of junior staff, attendance at Renal Outpatient Clinics, participation in Quality Assurance activities of the Department including multi-disciplinary activities and liaison and consultation with Geriatricians and Rehabilitationalists in ensuring early assessment for rehabilitation or placement.
