Buxton Geelong Group’s Newtown office is seeking an experienced Rental Department Manager to head our dynamic team of Property Managers and Leasing Consultants. The role is closely supported by our team of Directors and offers a range of ongoing corporate training and development opportunities.
Our network of 7 offices throughout Geelong and the Bellarine work collaboratively to create a strong, supportive and cohesive culture, and we pride ourselves on providing a friendly, respectful, inspiring (and fun) workplace.
Experience Required
- Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice
- Extensive knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
- Minimum three years in a senior property manager role
- Previous experience in management of a team (preferred but not essential)
- Previous trust account experience
- A current driver’s licence & car
- Knowledge of Property Me, Inspection Express and Inspect Real Estate (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication, exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Management of property portfolio
- Management of the rental trust account including owner and creditor disbursements
- Management of in-house and corporate reporting
- Management of a growing team
- Reporting to directors
- Attending monthly department management meetings and weekly team meeting
- Assisting the department
- Be involved with recruitment and onboarding for new staff members
- The ability to mentor and motivate a team
- Ensure all properties are compliant and adhere to the correct legislative standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residential rental providers, renters, stakeholders and industry professionals
- Saturday opens when required
