Role Overview:
Are you ready to step into a dynamic role where your expertise in maintenance management can truly shine? We're seeking a proactive and results-driven individual to join our team as a Repairs and Maintenance Lead. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and propose Planned Maintenance programs aimed at enhancing both commercial viability and operational efficiency for United.
- Take charge of budget planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Appoint, monitor, and supervise subcontractors involved in maintenance, renovations, and general upgrades, ensuring adherence to specified work orders.
- Manage the timely completion of critical maintenance tasks within the region, maintaining a 24/7 availability for urgent matters.
- Troubleshoot and swiftly escalate any delays or issues encountered during the execution of work orders.
- Utilize United's CMMS to accurately capture and report all relevant maintenance data.
- Review, inspect, and sign off on completed work orders to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a strong focus on Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) to foster a safe working environment across all sites.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams including Property, Real Estate, Construction, Signage, and Repairs and Maintenance departments.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A trade background or qualifications in facilities management, engineering, construction management, coupled with a minimum of three years' experience in managing or coordinating repairs and maintenance.
- Previous exposure to the petroleum and/or convenience retail industries is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office with experience in CMMS being a significant plus.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and lead effectively in challenging situations.
- Capable of interpreting pricing and quotations to inform decision-making processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for building effective relationships both internally and externally.
- Willingness to be on call after hours and Saturday mornings, demonstrating commitment to ensuring uninterrupted facility operations.
