Our team of Paramedics, Registered Nurses, ERTs and Medical Consultants provide a one-stop-shop service delivering a wide range of on-site and outreach healthcare and safety services.
The role
Our exciting positions offer Paramedics the ability to explore opportunities in Queensland’s coal mining industry. Joining our team of Advanced Care Paramedics will diversify your skills and career experience in the mining sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the site medical centre and working in accordance with our Queensland Health Drug Licence conditions encompassing S3 to S8 and over-the-counter medications
- Managing a wide range of presentations and liaising with our emergency medicine doctors and retrieval services where necessary
- Providing high quality occupational healthcare including the delivery of health and wellbeing campaigns, toolbox talks and health and safety education
- Undertaking administrative tasks including maintaining clinical records and other clinic operational functions
What you'll need to be successful
You’ll need a reasonable fitness level, a presentable appearance, have a goal-oriented strong work ethic with a patient-centred approach and the ability to work autonomously.
The following are mandatory:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- Current Registration with AHPRA with no restriction
- Certificate III Emergency Response & Rescue (RII30719)
- Open Class Manual Driver’s Licence
- Computer literate – e.g., MS Office Suite
To work on a Queensland coal mine site, the following pre-requisites apply:
- Coal Board Medical (Rescue & Underground)
- Drug and Alcohol Testing Certification (HLTPAT005)
- Standard 11 Certification
- Low Voltage Rescue Certification (UETTDRRF04)
- CPR, First Aid, Advanced First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Currency

Pre-requisite training is provided prior to commencing shifts and role specific training is provided during the first 6 months of employment.
