YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Fixed Term, Part-Time Role
A motivated and organised Research Assistant is sought to join the Psychosocial Cancer Genomics Research team based in the Parkville Familial Cancer Centre. The successful applicant will undertake psychosocial research, predominantly involving qualitative methodologies examining the implications of the delivery of cancer genomic information to the community.
Essential Requirements
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant health-related discipline, e.g., health services research, implementation science, medical sciences, genetic counselling, genomics and health, or psychology
• Demonstrated experience conducting health services, psychosocial, or implementation science research using appropriate methodologies
• Attention to detail and demonstrated project management skills including the ability to independently organise, prioritise and utilise time effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer skills including the use of software, such as reference management systems, qualitative data management software, and statistical packages
Desirable Requirements
• Excellent academic track record
• Experience conducting psychosocial or genetic counselling research
• Experience designing data collections tools including surveys and interview guides
• Experience analysing survey and qualitative data
