The University of Sydney is welcoming applications for a Research Assistant to contribute to the research and dissemination activities of the Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic (GTRC). The successful candidate will work with a team under the supervision of Professor Sally Gainsbury and be based in the School of Psychology and Brain and Mind Centre. This role will provide an opportunity to be part of a research project that provides help to more than 550 people with gambling problems each year.
This community cohort allows us to trial new, state-of-the-art treatments and prevention strategies to the people who need them most. The research will be highly applied and include co-design and open science principles. The successful candidate will have opportunities to access real-world research methods and activities including in-situ trials, undertaking core aspects of research work, maintain stakeholder relationships, collating and recording large sets of research data.
Your key responsibilities will be to:assist the GTRC Director and Research staff working on research projects, including preparing literature reviews, ethics applications, assisting with design, development, and implementation as well as managing research projects, preparing research documents and protocols, data entry, assisting with data analysis, and assisting with preparing research reportswork cooperatively and collaboratively with projects, GTRC and external staff, collaborators and stakeholdersassist where required with field work, including working with research participants and carrying out research protocolsmonitor research project progress including maintaining academic and Research records for the projects and reporting to the investigatorsassist with the development and dissemination of projects and GTRC informationgather and consolidate data/information for inclusion in reports, publications and presentations.
