The Senior Research Assistant/Technician role offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical support and subject matter expertise across all stages of the research life cycle. You will play a vital role in advancing high-quality research outcomes within the Keane Lymphoma Research laboratory.Key responsibilities will include:Coordinate processing of clinical trial samples.Assist in study design and conduct experiments.Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain facilities.Ensure safety protocols and handle research documentation.Development and maintenance of clinical databases and maintenance of sample inventories.This is a part-time (60%), fixed-term position through to 2nd June 2026.At HEW level 5, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,396 - $86,029, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $86,029 - $100,654 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.About YouThe Research Assistant provides a range of technical and specialist skills and services, which support and enable research activities. This role involves processing, co-ordinating and management of clinical samples from patients on a number of clinical trials.Excellent practical research skills and experience in relevant research methodology or techniques required for this body of research.Experience using methods to process clinical samples including fresh blood, tissue etc.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.Ability to work independently on routine procedures.Excellent oral and written communication skillsWell-organised, methodical, and self-motivatedPrevious experience in a similar role would be considered favourably.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
