The Opportunity:


An amazing opportunity exists for a part time Research Coordinator to join the Allergy Immunology research group at MCRI! In this role you will be involved in coordinating of current and future Allergy Immunology Research Group studies

You will have responsibility for the oversight of these clinical trial research studies, in accordance with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Note for Guidance on Good Clinical Practice (CPMP/ICH/135/95), the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and applicable state/federal privacy laws. More specifically, you will have primary responsibility for coordinating the non-clinical aspects of PEAT and PPOIT 003LT and work in conjunction with the Clinical Study Leadership team(s).

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for working in research with a background in participating in the planning or projects. You will possess exceptional communication skills and be confident collaborating with patients and their families and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Coordinator to manage and oversee individual clinical trials to ensure their effective operation.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining ethics and research governance approvals/reporting and conduct clinical research in accordance with TGA ICH GCP, the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and relevant state/federal privacy laws.
  • Prepares study documents and establish study processes, with implementation across all multicentre sites.
  • Overseeing trials on a day to day basis and liaise with all study sites for multicentre trials ensuring study data integrity and overall study functioning.
  • Working with study team to maintain financial records for clinical trials, including assistance in tracking of invoices and of expenditure items against clinical trials budgets.

About You:

  • Degree/Honours qualified graduate in a science or health related field
  • Appropriate level of expertise demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills for the job and clinical setting
  • Experience in participating in the planning and coordination of research projects
  • Strong knowledge of ICH GCP, national statement and previous experience working with clinical trials
  • Confident in coordinating investigator initiated clinical trials
