Research Nurse Coordinator
- Opportunity for an experienced Research Coordinator to join the Colorectal Medicine/Gastroenterology Research team
- Part Time, Fixed Term position (12 months)
Your new team
- An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Research Coordinator to join our small, diverse research team.
- Our Colorectal Medicine and Genetics team is led by Professor Finlay Macrae and primarily focuses on clinical care and research in colorectal cancer (with projects in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) and hereditary non polyposis colorectal cancer (Lynch syndrome) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease).
- Our Hepatology team is led by Ashok Raj with research focusing on Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) and fatty liver disease
- Our team undertakes and coordinates both investigator initiated clinical trials and Sponsor led Pharmaceutical clinical trials.
Your success in this role, will be in your ability to
- Select and recruit patients for studies
- Provide patient education and counselling
- Perform all Study Coordinator responsibilities for both Sponsored and Investigator-initiated trials
- Perform venepuncture, ECG and other trial specific requirements
- Data management including eCRF completion
- Gathering and collating results from laboratory; procedural reports and histopathology
Your Contribution
- Medical Scientist or Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- High level of reliability and professional conduct
- Excellent time management, attention to detail skill and be able to rigorously adhere to relevant documentation standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with external research organisations, sites and stakeholders
- Experience in preparing and submitting clinical trial documents (desirable)
- Knowledge of Gastroenterology/ Hepatology and Endoscopy (desirable)
