About the role
The Senior Coordinator, Research Funding acts as a key contact for researchers to provide subject matter expertise in Research Funding, and particularly Category 1 grants.
You will:
- coordinate, develop and execute guidelines, application templates, policies, web content and tools to support our researchers in seeking to apply for external research grant programs;
- develop, organise and participate in information sessions, training sessions, strategic workshops, group and one-on-one sessions;
- manage the review and acceptance of university applications to external research grant programs; and
- work as part of the Research Office to ensure effective and efficient records management.
About you
You will work closely with members of research executive and the research community on the provision of expert and timely advice on all aspects of external funding bodies and proposals.
You will possess:
- extensive knowledge, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge, about policies, procedures, programs, and requirements, particularly relating to research grant administration;
- ability to perform in a high-level advisory coordination role including the ability to develop refined and complex documents, policies, reports and templates;
- demonstrated ability to engage and work independently and collaboratively within teams as well as provide guidance and technical training to others; and
- demonstrated well-developed digital literacy skills and a knowledge and understanding of relevant information systems and software related to the administration of research grant applications.
