About the role
To assist the Research to apply high quality research and evaluation activities and techniques to mental health education conducted by the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Learning (Learning Centre).
- Manage all records and data for research projects ensuring compliance with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC): Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
- Design databases and undertake data entry, data cleaning and data analysis of research and evaluation projects using specialised software (e.g., SPSS, and Microsoft Excel).
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge in research methods (e.g., data analysis) and evaluation. Provide advice and training in research and evaluation
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated research experience including a sound knowledge and understanding of psychometric principles and development of questionnaires.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of multivariate statistical packages including SPSS.
- Demonstrated experience in data entry, data cleaning, data analysis and managing a research or evaluation database. Demonstrated ability to develop and administer evaluation tools for training courses, preferably in the mental health field.
- Demonstrated ability to write high level correspondence, reports and journal articles.
- Experience in using a project management approach to lead high-level training evaluation and/or research projects using well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to advise and influence others and work flexibly and collaboratively as a member of the team.
