About the role
We are looking for a Research Director to manage our market research team in the successful production of quantitative customer experience projects. You are comfortable driving change, mentoring your team and providing best practice advice to the business on market research methodologies.
You will be tasked with supporting and developing CSBA’s benchmarking programs along with customised research with a strong focus on a transition to digital processes from data capture to dashboard presentation.
The Market Research industry is growing in Australia and is increasingly dependent on technology to deliver fast reliable insights. CSBA understands this and in order to succeed, it needs people who are attracted to such an environment.

Skills and experience
This senior role reports directly to the managing director and is a key member of the leadership team at CSBA.
You should have –
- At least 7 years’ experience in Market Research (client or agency)
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills using a range of tools such as Forsta and Q Software
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed people coaching skills
- Excellent analytical and creative thinking abilities
- Ability to develop and embed a continuous improvement culture
- Strong project management skills to transition from a CATI to a CAWI environment.
Additional considerations
Naturally there are certain skills that we would deem to be a bonus. These include –
- Experience developing reports with data visualisations
- Experience in managing the development of online dashboards and automated reporting (Forsta)
- Strong quantitative skills with experience converting numbers into business recommendations
- Experience in running syndicated benchmarking programs
- Demonstrated understanding of the role technology plays in Market Research today with examples of automation
Salary will be pro rata to reflect part time role, and it will be dependent upon relevant skills and qualifications.
