Fantastic opportunity for a Research Fellow to join the Clinical Trials Centre
Base Salary $118,390 - $131,711 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Clinical Trials Centre is seeking a Research Fellow to conduct collaborative evidence synthesis projects addressing high-priority research questions and to advance related methodological research, particularly for individual participant data meta-analysis. This niche and specialised position will require an experienced, proactive, and knowledgeable candidate with excellent writing skills to enable the dissemination of findings in high-impact publications. Eligible candidates must have experience leading their own research projects and obtaining competitive funding.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Conduct individual participant data meta-analysis projects to answer high-priority research questions
conduct methodological research to advance the field of evidence synthesis
contribute to the research and administrative activities of the team
disseminate findings via high-impact publications and conference presentation
lead your own research projects and collaborate with relevant team members to achieve pre-determined goals and objectives
work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders (including international personnel) to ensure the success of projects
complete any ad-hoc tasks, activities or roles as needed
About you
PhD or near completion of PhD in a relevant field
proven experience in the use of statistical and analytical software such as R
previous experience in the use of grant funding and leading individual research projects
exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to work with domestic and international personnel
experience in co-supervising junior staff and research team
ability to travel for conferences as needed (may be funded by the University where applicable).

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
