About Linear:
Linear Clinical Research Ltd is an internationally recognised, not-for-profit. Founded by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (Perkins), Linear has Western Australia’s only dedicated early phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup where we focus on early phase clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
Here at Linear that includes a broad oncology portfolio that continues to expand as we open the Advanced Cancer Trials Centre (ACTC) in early 2024, the first of its kind facility in Australia dedicated to bringing novel therapies through clinical trials to the cancer patients of Western Australia. The ACTC is situated on the QEII Medical precinct, directly next to the WA State Cancer Centre.
Your role in our future
This role will be attractive to an individual who desires a new challenge or wants to steer their career into a niche direction, building towards a specialised skill set. Full support and training will be provided by our experienced and well-established team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Effectively manage nursing patient load by performing clinical procedures, manage and record adverse events according to the approved protocol and standard operating procedures.
Provide general nursing, monitoring the wellbeing of patients, providing support to family members and liaising with the medical team, and taking appropriate action when necessary;
Undertake direct patient care including education, and drug administration as per legislative requirements and company policy
Perform and provide training and supervision of non-clinical staff to correctly and safely perform clinical tasks.
Your Experience

Successful candidates must also meet the following requirements:
Currently registered with AHPRA (with no restrictions)
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Proven initiative, ability to work within a team, as well as autonomously, ability to handle multiple tasks with ease, high attention to detail with excellent time management
Good computer literacy. Experience in using Google Apps, Word and Excel.
The following criteria are highly desirable (will form part of training if not met):
Minimum of 1 year post-graduation experience
Oncology or Haematology trained, previous experience in a clinical research setting will be highly regarded, but not essential
Accreditation to administer Chemotherapy agents and manage Central Venous Access Devices
