Research Officer 0.4 FTE x 24 months commencing Feb 2024
GP, GP Registrar, Nurse with clinical experience
Research Officer will work closely with Prof Tom Brett to examine prevalence, patterns and disease severity of multimorbidity and primary care management of children /adolescents with intellectual and developmental disability in WA. Part of 5 year NHMRC study led by A/Prof Jenny Downs, Telethon Kids Institute / UWA involving both quantitative and qualitative research. Funding: 0.4 FTE over 24 months commencing Feb 2024. Lecturer Level B, Step 1-2
Location: School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame, Fremantle.
RO will contribute to team meetings, research seminars, conference presentations and future publications emerging from the study. Position suited to GP/GP Registrar, Registered or Practice Nurse with interest in developing skills and experience in primary care research. Also option of additional support for candidate interested in undertaking further study towards PhD degree.
The position offers the opportunity to become part of successful research team that led and completed Australia-wide study into "Improving the detection and management of familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) in Australian general practice."
