The role:
Menzies School of Health Research is looking to engage Research Nurses to be part of the Respiratory Health study group within the Child and Maternal Health Division.
The Research Nurse will work across several clinical trials (PETAL, BLIPA & PAWS) involving First Nations children in urban and remote First Nations communities, responsible for participant recruitment, clinical data and specimen collection and conducting follow-up visits in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
About you:
As a motivated individual and qualified health professional, you will have tertiary qualifications in nursing with relevant proven clinical experience in either a hospital or community-based health service and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
The successful applicants will also have exceptional written and communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations, and the ability to work collaboratively with health professionals and academic colleagues. These positions require the ability to work sensitively in multicultural and multidisciplinary settings with the skills to engage and communicate with First Nations peoples.

The benefits:
- Base salary of $96,260 - $104,463 per annum, pro-rata
- Total remuneration package including superannuation and salary packaging benefits of $120,881 – $130,232 per annum, pro-rata
- Option of increasing superannuation contribution to 14%
- 6 weeks annual leave and other great leave provisions
