About Linear

Linear Clinical Research is an internationally recognised clinical trial company which partners with world-class collaborators and sponsors to deliver life-changing therapies to patients and participants through early and advanced Clinical Trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas. Located at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, our state-of-the-art Advanced Clinical Trials Unit (ACTC) opened in early 2024 and is the first of its kind facility in Australia, dedicated to bringing novel therapies through Clinical Trials to cancer patients in WA.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Nurse to join our team working night shifts across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. This is an excellent opportunity to apply and develop your nursing skills in a unique environment.


Your Role in our Future

In this role you will be responsible for providing excellent nursing care and maintaining the wellbeing of clinical trial patients across three consistent night shifts from Monday-Wednesday. You will also have the opportunity to provide your expertise and insight to our project teams to assist in the set up and delivery of clinical trial projects.

A full list of responsibilities can be found in the job description but some of your duties will include;

  • Provide general nursing, monitoring the wellbeing of patients, providing support to family members and liaising with the medical team, and taking appropriate action when necessary;
  • Undertake direct patient care including education, and drug administration as per legislative requirements and company policy
  • Effectively manage nursing patient load by performing clinical procedures, manage and record adverse events according to the approved protocol and standard operating procedures.
  • Support junior clinic staff to perform clinical activities.

Your Experience
To develop optimally in this opportunity, you must have great attention to detail, be driven by excellence, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be able to adhere to processes. You will be diligent, adaptive, use your initiative, and enjoy a challenge.

Successful candidates must also meet the following requirements:

  • Currently registered with AHPRA (with no restrictions)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proven initiative, ability to work within a team, as well as autonomously, ability to handle multiple tasks with ease, high attention to detail with excellent time management
  • Good computer literacy. Experience in using Google Apps, Word and Excel.
