  • Assisting in designing and performing straightforward experiments and routine laboratory analyses, designing new processes or apparatus by adapting existing techniques & components, or undertaking modifications to methods requiring some innovation.
  • Preparing chemicals, microbial culture media and (bio)reactor influents.
  • Setting up, maintaining and sampling (bio)reactors, columns and other experimental systems, as well as analysing samples and interpreting data.
  • Conducting literature reviews, investigations and inspections in the field or laboratory including associated analysis possibly involving statistical or graphics software.
  • General duties such as organising repairs and maintenance for equipment, purchasing laboratory consumables, chemicals and specific parts for experimental set ups, helping with maintenance of chemical registry, and ensuring lab compliance with quarantine and physical containment requirements.
Location: Floreat and Waterford (Perth, WA)
Salary: AU$68K - AU$86K pa + up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Specified Term of 3 years; Full-time
