We are looking for a caring and compassionate Resident Liaison/Lifestyle Assistant to provide leave relief on a three month Fixed Term Contract. The position is part-time (60hrs/fn) and provides support to the consumer during their transition into care and also acts as an ongoing consumer advocate.

The role
The Resident Liaison provides orientation for new consumers, ensuring they feel empowered to provide feedback as well as express their feelings, opinions and ideas, through the different channels of communication that are available.
The Resident Liaison meets regularly with each consumer to:
- Ensure that their goals, care routines and lifestyle preferences are being met to their satisfaction
- Provides a supportive and listening ear to allay any concerns that they may have
- Ensure that they feel safe and supported to provide any feedback and/or make a complaint
The roles works closely with Registered Nurses and the Clinical Coordinator to share consumer feedback to ensure that the consumer’s choices and preferences are acknowledged and where necessary improvement strategies implemented.
The role also collaborates with the Executive Manager Quality & Compliance to complete the MOA Consumer Pulse and monthly surveys on consumer experience and quality of life.
Key requirements
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Certificate III in Aged Care
- High level customer service skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail in order to accurately complete all documentation relevant to the role (including monthly reports and surveys)
- The ability to provide feedback to staff on areas that require improvement
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
- The ability to coordinate and facilitate meetings as required with RNs, Clinical Coordinator, Occupational Therapists / Physiotherapists, Chef’s and the Executive Manager and /or the resident’s General practitioner at the resident request

Additional requirements

- Current National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months)
- Appropriate evidence to demonstrate right to work in Australia
