Hours: 76 per fortnight
Status: Full Time or Part Time Fixed Term (6 or 12 months) commencement negotiable but ideally Feb 2024

We are working with a Victorian hospital where the general HMO stream has been designed to flexibly deliver career pathways for HMO’s who want to develop a diverse range of specialties. HMO’s may choose from any of the available rotations to develop surgical, medical, general practice and other areas of experience. Rotations are allocated with consideration of preferences and at least one external rotation or relief term will be included.

Opportunities available:
The Hospital Medical Officer positions for 2024 offer a practical, hands on approach to junior doctor training. Exposure to a large and varied patient base is achieved as the health service operates the referral and trauma centre for the entire region. They operate a health service with 372 inpatient beds, 72 same day beds, 11 operating theatres, a regional cancer centre, an 80 bed integrated mental health facility, and a mother and baby unit.
The city is a thriving regional city with a population of close to 110,000. It has a strong supportive community base with good schools and excellent infrastructure making it an ideal location for families wanting to escape the city. It has fantastic restaurants, shops, cultural precincts, sporting facilities and tertiary facilities making it a great city to live and work.

01.Current General or Provisional Registration or eligable for Provisional Registration with AHPRA

02.Demonstrated appropriate level experience and skills in the medical assessment and clinical management of patients
