An opportunity exists for a Residential Boarding Assistant to join a supportive team within a large boarding school for girls. This role is integral to the growth and development of the boarders who live at Loreto.
This role is on a fixed term contract for 2024 working 16 hours per week including some weekend work. The hours of work are Wednesday and Thursday 6:30pm – 10:30pm with alternate Friday and Sunday 3:00pm – 10:30pm.
The Role
- Ensure active supervision of boarders while on duty
- Contribute and be part of a team that builds positive relationships amongst staff, borders and parents
- Prioritise the safety and well-being of students at all times
- Supervise boarders on activities within and outside the boarding school as required.
- Manage and support boarders in study and with bedtime routines
- Flexibility is essential.
- Teaching, experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collegially in a team environment.
- Demonstrate personal maturity and a warm welcoming manner.
- A current CPR, First Aid and Duty of Care Certificate Level 1 or be willing to obtain these credentials to commence work.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
