Within our Industrial & Waste Services business unit, we provide total waste management business solutions to our customers including: Industrial cleaning services such as non-destructive digging, concrete demolition, high pressure water blasting, vacuum loading, shutdown services, pipe, drain and tank cleaning, emergency spills response and CCTV. We service industries including infrastructure construction, manufacturing, food, agriculture, chemicals, and oil and gas.
Our business unit is growing rapidly and to support our Mission we have an exciting, rare opportunity in this newly created role for a Resource Operations Coordinator to join our passionate team.
The position
Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be assisting in the coordination and communication with the labor mix and diversity activities across the IWS business. This position is a FIFO role with a strong focus on onboarding across major projects and will be the direct point of contact assisting with engagement of new starters across the business.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Focus on improving the employee experience including making onboarding calls to all new starters, providing welcome packs, directing new starters to services they need and in other ways ensuring new starters have a great start to their relationship with Cleanaway.
- Act as Employee Contact officers to de-escalate cultural issues employees may encounter and improve employee experience.
- Working with the Operations and HR teams be responsible for delivering items within the Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
- Work with the business and our labor hire providers to provide best fit for business resources.
- Assist with general administration duties as required.
Skills and experience
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Previous FIFO experience
- Demonstrated experience resourcing labor for site-based work
- Prior experience working with labor hire / subcontracting entities
- Understanding of diversity and inclusion strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Ability to adapt in real time to match shifting demands of different situations and thrive in a problem solving environment
- Qualifications in business, admin or HR not essential but highly regarded.
