About the role
The Respiratory Laboratory is committed to providing a high quality clinical service and we are seeking an experienced candidate to work as a casual Respiratory Scientist.
Functions of this role are below:
- Responsible for the performance of routine and complex lung function tests.
- Involved in maintenance and quality assurance of equipment and procedures.
- Show a commitment to further professional development.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Enrolled or completed a Bachelor of Science or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Respiratory Scientist
- Able to establish rapport with patients performing tests of maximum effort.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to pay attention to detail.
- Computer literate.
- Demonstrate organisational skills particularity with respect to time management.
- Demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change.
- Analytical approach to troubleshooting.
- Self-motivated and punctual.
- Energetic, methodical and enthusiastic.
