Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Respite Coordinator, you will be responsible, in conjunction with the staff team, for supporting participants in undertaking in-center activities and outings.
- Pick up and drop off clients from their homes and outings.
- Assist participants with daily living skills and activities both in the center and during outings.
- Engage in indirect support activities and maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure participants' appropriate and active involvement.
- Provide support to individuals with complex needs and challenging behavior.
- Foster a caring, interactive, and enjoyable environment for clients.
Requirements:
- Certification III in Disability, Aged Care, or Individual Support.
- Valid driver's license.
- Industry Authority or the ability to acquire one (minimum 3 years of holding a license required).
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Yellow Card or eligibility to apply for one.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to relevant standards, legislation, and regulations.
- Confidence in working with individuals with moderate to extreme complex behavior and needs.
- Demonstrated caring personality and strong interpersonal skills.
