Due to exciting business growth within Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we have created a new position for an Area Manager to lead an expanding group of David Jones (DJ) Concessions. Reporting to the Head of Concessions, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the broader Concessions strategy with a key focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales and operational outcomes, and fostering strong working relationships with our DJ stakeholders.
In your new role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple DJ Concessions and be the driving force behind our operational performance, ensuring our Stores are operating at peak efficiency and profitability to achieve desired targets and objectives.

About you
As a hands-on Retail Leader, you will have a passion for coaching, training and achieving business targets while creating an exceptional customer service experience and empowering your team to do the same, with every interaction.
- Proven experience as a multi-site Area or Cluster Manager in the Retail Industry
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams to deliver desired targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyse sales and operational data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel to DJ Concession Stores regularly, including interstate travel from time to time.

About the role
You will be responsible for leading our DJ Concessions operations, focusing on customer service, team performance and driving business profitability.
- Proactively manage the working relationship with DJ stakeholders and be a key contact for operational, sales and project matters.
- Overseeing the daily operations for DJ Concessions in your Store group to
- Ensure that each store delivers exceptional customer service to achieve customer satisfaction and NPS targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability and effectively collaborate with Support Office stakeholders.
- A strong focus on your teams' development and implementation of succession planning within the DJ Concessions Store group.
- Analyse sales and operational data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth in conjunction with the Head of Concessions
- Ensure optimal rosters are generated that are aligned to wage budgets and Award requirements across the DJ Concessions Store group.
- Monitor and manage inventory and stock levels and attend to Store escalations.
- Creating a coaching mindset where open communication and teamwork are encouraged and valued.
- Conducting regular DJ Concessions Store visits to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
