CSA Mine is seeking a Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer (RTFE) to join our team, a role crucial to our safety, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. You'll tackle one of our operations' most critical components, ensuring the safety and structural integrity of our Tailings Storage Facility (TSF).
Key Responsibilities:
- Forge a relationship with the Engineer of Record (EOR), focusing on the TSF's comprehensive planning, design, construction, and operational stages, while maintaining adherence to standards prescribed by Dams Safety NSW, ANCOLD, and Global Standards on Tailings Management.
- Conduct detailed, regular reporting on the facility's operational status, guaranteeing transparency and stringent compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Take a hands-on approach with operational teams and the tailings dam operator, leading the development of comprehensive training programs and operational strategies that emphasise safety and efficiency.
- Enforce the highest operational standards for the TSF by strictly following the operation, maintenance, and surveillance manual's established procedures.
Skills & Experience:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- A solid track record in understanding and applying project management principles, complemented by strategic thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication abilities, marked by a strong emphasis on fostering team unity and collaborative working environments.
- Adeptness in navigating the regulatory landscape, with specific expertise in Dams Safety NSW, ANCOLD, and the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management requirements.
Conditions:
This is a 7/7 roster, and commute options include residential, DIDO or FIFO from Brisbane or Sydney.
Candidates interested in DIDO or FIFO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
