Your role will focus on managing reservations for our food & beverage venues across the hotel including our award winning rooftop bar Aster, Treasury Lobby Lounge & Bar, Conservatory, Rotunda Private dining room and our newly opened ala carte dining, Pont Dining Room.
Reporting to the Bars & F&B Director, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of venue reservations from initial enquiry; managing the venue reservations inbox; guest communication to booking confirmation, while ensuring the smooth functioning of our reservations systems and providing courteous and personalised service to our guests.
- Inbox management and client profile maintenance
- Responding to guest enquiries from restaurant table bookings to interest in large scale events
- Communication with guests across incoming emails and phone calls
- Managing our venue booking system, we use Seven Rooms
- Monitoring guests notes on special occasions, dietary restrictions or any further requirements
- Liaising with both FOH and BOH, ensuring all guest needs are catered to
- Communicating across departments regarding upcoming reservations and event needs
More than just reservations, this role will also be supporting the wider Restaurant & Bars team with a range of general day to day operations administration tasks and projects so plenty of opportunity to be involved with the wider department operations.
This role will be working predominately Wednesday - Saturday, afternoons mostly approx 24 hours a week. If you are looking for FT hours talk to us about other roles we can pair with this one!
What we need from you- Ideally, you will have a solid understanding of how a restaurant service is run efficiently, so previous front of house experience is an advantage
- Solid understanding of a reservations system and the multi-management of incoming phone enquiries
- Understanding booking profiling and yield management
- Good knowledge for database management and the importance of data capture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, you are tech-savvy and pick up applications quickly
- Experience in a Front Office/ or Restaurant Reservations role advantageous but not essential
- Amazing communication skills both on the phone & in person - you are a people’s person and this shines through
