Restaurant & Bar Manager

Currently operating as SALT Restaurant and Bar at the Pullman Adelaide, we are in the process of Renovating and relaunching our new Restaurant concept.  This is a great opportunity to spear head our Restaurant and Bar Relaunch due to open in early 2024.  We are seeking an individual who has strong experience in operating standalone Restaurants and Bars to lead a new team to success.  Hotel experience is not necessary however must have proven success in Restaurant and Bar operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including opening and closing procedures, shift scheduling, and staff management;
• Lead the way in concept activation and team selection
• Develop and drive service principles and culture
• Grow Revenue internally and externally through Marketing activations
• Be the face of the new product to customers
• Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience;
• Develop and manage a budget, driving revenue and closely monitoring expenses in order achieve financial targets;
• Analyse financial reports, sales data, and other key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menus and create a visual and visceral dining experience
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and licensing requirements;  HACCP understanding welcomed
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies and ingredients, and manage costs to maximize profitability;
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate and develop a high-performing team of employees
• Handling customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.

• Full time work capabilities
• Previous experience as a Restaurant and/or Bar Manager in a successful standalone restaurant with proven success is highly regarded
• Strong communication and leadership skills in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Solid understanding of labour management.
• Capacity to build and grow an engaged team.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences;
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including food and beverage menu development
• Local and international wine knowledge preferred
• Demonstrate a human-centred mindset
• Holds a Responsible Persons badge or similar
• Has a flare for creativity
• Understand what it takes to make profit within with business and drive its success
