Position: Restaurant Manager
Salary: $70,000 plus 11% superannuation
Hours: 38
Mode: Full time
Location: Shop G47 Cnr Anketell and Reed Street, Greenway ACT 2900
Experience required: 2 years plus experience in relevant roles.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team and lead our front-of-house operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a drive for delivering unparalleled customer service. As a key member of our management team, the Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring quality standards are met, and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Lead and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including staffing, training, and scheduling.
• Foster a positive work environment, motivating and inspiring team members to deliver exceptional service.
• Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet the highest quality and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximize profitability.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase revenue, and attract new customers.
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
• Stay current on industry trends, competition, and customer preferences to inform business decisions.
• Perform administrative tasks such as payroll processing, budgeting, and reporting.
Qualifications:
• Diploma of hospitality management (preferred but not mandatory)
Other Skills and Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a similar fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, Japanese ingredients, and culinary trends.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
