What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking our next Restaurant Manager, who’s as passionate about wine and great service as we are! You will be the heartbeat of our venue, ensuring each day runs smoothly, and every guest leaves smiling (and maybe with a new favourite wine!). You’ll lead a small team that champions innovation, creativity, and a passion for creating warm, consistent, and memorable experiences in a venue where everyone knows your name – or at least your wine recommendation!
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable and personable service, offering warm and genuine hospitality
- Lead a small yet passionate team, encouraging professional development via regular trainings
- Assist in developing, implementing, and training policies and procedures including food, beverage, and service training documents
- Work alongside our beverage director, maintaining and growing an exciting and diverse wine list, as well as a regularly changing wine by the glass selection
- An exciting opportunity to be a part of the growth and direction of the venue
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive in-house private events, wine dinners, and other exciting community-driven opportunities
- Ensure operational and financial procedures are completed accurately, including staff rostering, cash up and daily reporting, guest enquiries, and special requests
Key Selection Criteria
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- WSET Level 3 or CMS Certified Sommelier training is preferred, but not compulsory
- Bartending and cocktail knowledge is preferred, but not compulsory
- Impeccable personal presentation
- Strong work ethics, leadership, time management, and communication skills
- Passionate about enhancing guest experiences through their knowledge of food, wine, and service
