Position Overview:
As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our dynamic team, overseeing the operations of our restaurant, and working with our executive chef. Your responsibilities will be critical to ensuring that our large venue for dinning, functions and events, operates seamlessly and continues to deliver unparalleled guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Team Management: Lead, inspire, and manage the restaurant team, partnering with the executive chef, to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Event and Function Oversight: Coordinate and oversee large-scale functions and events, ensuring exceptional execution and guest experiences.
- Guest Experience: Uphold the highest standards of service excellence, ensuring every guest encounter is memorable.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to achieve fiscal objectives.
- Vendor and Stock Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and oversee stock control and inventory management.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff.
About You:
- Proven Experience: At least 5 years of management experience in Event and Hospitality, with a strong background in high-volume venues.
- Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to lead a large team under pressure, with a hands-on approach to service.
- Operational Excellence: Exceptional organizational and coordination skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Passion for Hospitality: A genuine passion for creating outstanding guest experiences and a commitment to service excellence.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging with diverse groups and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Certifications: Current RSA Certificate and Responsible Person's Badge are required.
Working Hours:
The restaurant operates 6 days a week (closed Tuesdays), with lunch service and extended dinner service on Fridays and Saturdays. This full-time permanent position requires a commitment to a 38-hour workweek over 5 days, including weekends. We offer flexibility to ensure work-life balance for our team.
